Key problems included: - Limited UI environment: Telegram bots have strict layout and interaction constraints, making it hard to deliver an engaging visual experience. - Unclear visual identity: Many Telegram mini-games look generic. We wanted PinaMania to have a unique, recognizable character style. - Gameplay balance: The “merge and cancel” mechanic — where identical icons merge or neutralize — needed to feel intuitive yet strategic, encouraging replayability.
Solution
We built the PinaMania experience from the ground up — focusing on UX flow, UI design, brand identity, and mascot character. - Playful brand direction: Developed a tropical-themed identity around the Pina (pineapple) mascot — symbolizing luck, joy, and lighthearted chaos. - Intuitive UX flow: Designed a seamless onboarding experience — from “Start Game” to “Claim Rewards” — optimized for Telegram’s chat-based interface. - Modular UI system: Crafted pixel-inspired icons and tile elements that visually reinforce the merge-and-cancel mechanic. - Gamified engagement: Integrated leaderboard and crypto-reward hooks to bridge casual fun with Web3 participation.
